Questions fleets ask before applying

Something else on your mind? Ask our team.

Do I have to scrap a diesel truck?
No. The program does not require scrappage, so you can keep your existing equipment.
Why start before November 4?
Funding is first come, first served. Requests need a project spec and quote, so fleets that plan now are ready to submit when the program opens at noon ET.
Who applies for the voucher?
Orange EV applies on behalf of the purchaser or operator. We'll tell you exactly what information we need from you.
Can I include chargers?
Yes. Charging equipment is eligible when paired with a truck voucher request, and a truck plus its charger counts as a single request.
We lease our equipment. Can we still participate?
Yes. If equipment is leased to an operator for 3 years or more, the lessee may be listed as the purchaser and is responsible for compliance.
What do we commit to after delivery?
Funded trucks must operate primarily on port for 3 years, with at least 90% of operating hours on port, and you report quarterly on funded equipment for 3 years.
